I was one of eight students selected to make our design out of textiles printed by local indigenous Australian artist Delvene Cockatoo Collins. The designs were then exhibited at Cairns Indigenous Art Fair 2024. Collins is a proud Quadamooka woman who creates art inspired by her ancestors and community's culture. It was an honour to collaborate with an artist with such a richly cultural perspective.
